You're probably thinking that this picture is surprising. You are very wrong. During the Algeria's war, Mr Moreau's father stayed in Algeria. So one of his friends decided to stick a coin on the ceiling of the cellar in order to give him some money for his come-back. Then several friends have done the same thing so this picture represents in fact only one little part of what is on the ceiling.
